You know, people often say this to me; don't look back, close that book, and start over.
I don't think that's a healthy thing to say anymore. Past mistakes are there to remind us where we have been, they become constant reminders that we should always strive to improve ourselves, and they pave a new way for better actions for the future.
In order to love who you are,
you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you into who you are today.
So what now?
Now we look back, evaluate the past and understand why you did what you did. Be curious of your own story: the people who lead you off course, what actions were crucially damaging back then, and what things led to that crucial point in the first place.
With this new understanding of what happened and of yourself, look beyond the horizon, and decide on new mindsets or changes that you have to adopt to break that vicious circle,
Breathe, open your eyes, and live your days with a content heart. You have endured enough, you are ready for this one hell of a ride called life.
